Destiny is an interactive photography installation exploring marginalized bodies. Destiny translate to “Sarnevesht” in Farsi which literally means written on head.
Looking into language as a tool of oppression, Destiny borrows from the experiences of displaced artists, writers, and musicians to shed light on experiences of bodies that are perceived as other.
This project encourages the viewers to share their personal experiences by writing them on blank papers placed inside labeled boxes as part of this installation. It invites the audience to reflect on the stories of the photographed subjects and to contribute to this ongoing project by sharing theirs.
